Today's reading: Num. 12-13; Ps. 90; Mark 2

Mark 2:2 "And many were gathered together, so that there was no longer room for them, no, not even about the door. And he spoke the word to them."
 
There must have been something magnetic about the atmosphere of this gathering.  It probably wasn't the venue, the marketing or the great ability of the disciples.  Yet there was a buzz throughout the region, and a people who were desperate for God's presence.  This could only have been communicated one way - from one hungry soul to another.
 
Lord, help us connect with our own deep need for you, communicate this to our friends, and create an atmosphere that will draw the lost, the hurting, and the broken.

That's so true.  Jesus was probably not staying up late printing flyers and mailers before his meeting that day!  The news spread from one hungry soul to another.  "Man, I went to a church service last weekend that was off the chain!  You gotta check this out!"  Jesus said, "I must tell the good news...that is why I was sent".  Lord, help me tell the good news about what You're still doing today in Your Church!

There definitely should be something about us that attracts people to Jesus!
