Today's reading: Deut. 13-15; Gal. 1
As believers we are not immune to picking up false beliefs. Moses warned the Hebrew people of this trap (Deut 13:1-3), a few thousand years later Paul wrote to the Galatian church confronting this issue (Gal 1:6-10), and a few thousand years later we can still benefit from such a reminder. Are there areas in our lives where God may be testing our hearts and total commitment to Him? Yet how awesome is our God that even as He tests our hearts, He is there all along, living in the very heart He is refining.
Dear Lord, show me areas where false beliefs may have crept in. Stand by me as we root out this junk. I’m here God to follow you, to stand in awe, to obey, to listen, to serve, and to hold fast to you. I’m here God, and I love you. Thank you so much for loving me and for the new life you’ve given me - In Jesus’ holy name I pray, Amen.
